This port was a waste. Just junky souvenirs and not much else to see or do. I heard some passengers went on the ATV trip and loved it so maybe I should have skipped the shopping and jumped on an ATV! I heard the beaches were not great so I never went to the beach.

The dolphin experience was awesome! I would recommend this excursion to everyone! It was the experience of a lifetime. The port is great for shopping too!

We did the ATV Jade Cavern tour, the set up at the port was not very well organized, you line up for a Taxi, most got on a van/taxi type ride we ended up with four of us squeezed into a small cab that didn’t know were he was going. So we were a little late catching up to the group. The ATV tour guides were really nice, but the trails are really rough and they were going way too fast to get us done. We are experienced ATV riders and had a hard time keeping up even though we were third in line. Lots of dust so bring a face scarf or like we did our own bandana.

We did the Tulum excursion years ago. A very long day. It was worth it though. The real regret was we really wanted to spend some time at the beach just below the walls. OMG. Beautiful. On our way back we stopped at XeHa for a couple of ours that was nice. I especially enjoyed the Modello beers on the Bus ride. On our second visit we found a little resort a short distance from the pier and just hung out. Did somebody day relaxing, oh yeah. This year I would like to hang out at Senor Frogs and waste the day away. But I'm sure the girls will likely want to do some shopping for chatchka's.

Booked all inclusive package at Mr. Sanchos online prior to cruise with $5 per person deposit. Glad I did as there were 5 ships in port when my cruise arrived. Took taxi to Mr Sanchos without incident. Set up is a bar area, rows on the beach of dining tables w/chairs and umbrellas to sit at to eat. Then rows of beach loungers. Place was really packed and we had difficulty finding beach chairs. Online states all inclusive includes beach chairs and umbrellas. It fails to state umbrellas are at dining tables, NOT at beach loungers. To get an umbrella you must pay $22 rental fee (including a $10 deposit). Not sure why you need to pay a deposit for a beach umbrella, it's not like you can walk out with it. Eduardo, beach worker did not seem to want to help us move chairs onces we located 2. I asked him and he kept saying the chair wasn't available, even after I told him we asked the people around it and they assured us it was free. A nice gentleman on the beach offered to helped us pick up and move chairs. Very disheartening. Drinks/Food- drinks were very weak. Blended frozen drinks came with chunks of ice in them, and very little alcohol. After ordering several I gave up. Food was mediocre to be in Mexico I expected good Mexican food. I've had better at Taco Cabana. Guacamole didn't taste fresh or authentic. Beach- Beach was very rocky. Thankfully I had water socks to protect my feet. My friend cut her foot on the rocks. Overall beach was pretty to look at but very rocky to walk in and on. Much nicer beaches elsewhere. Also water inflatables (water park as they were calling it) and water activities (parasail, banana boat, jet skis etc ) are not included but are available at an additional charge. Just FYI. We decided after a few hours to leave and head back to the port. We went to exit and asked for the deposit back on the beach umbrella. A worker actually asked us where the umbrella was. He wanted us to go and dig up the umbrella and bring it to front. Absolutely not. I refused. Eduardo finally came and returned deposit, then asked for a tip. Unreal. Taxi transportation- Posted sign at port states $17 per taxi. no issue getting to Mr Sanchos. however when it came time to leave, the taxis were price gouging the tourists, charging some as much as $20 per person in EACH taxi. Everyone had to get back to port to board their ship and the taxi drivers knew this. My group refused. Definitely would not return because of this. Prices are clearly marked $17 per cab up to 4 people at port, so to get people to the destination and then change the price is just completely wrong. made me wonder how much of a kick back Mr Sanchos was getting since there were taxis lined up outside the place. Overall I thought the idea of Mr Sanchos was a great one. To pay $55 and have a day at the beach with food and drinks sounded great. But poor customer service, lackluster beach, not truly all inclusive, and mediocre food and drinks really disappointed. And to top it off with price gouging just left a bad taste. Our first 2 ports in Jamaica and Grand Cayman were amazing with great beach days. Wish our trip had ended better. I don't recommend Mr. Sanchos and I certainly won't return.

Make sure you try out the Atlantis Sub Tour. We had a blast. Cozumel is one of our favorite ports. So mush to do there.

We love Cozumel. Another great experience. Booked 2 excursions through Royal Caribbean. My husband and older boys went on the jeep excursion. Stops along the way with pushy vendors and many asking for tips started to wear on my husband. I guess I don't notice it as much. I say "No thank you" a lot and keep walking. They swam at the public beach by the pier and that area was better than the beach on their excursion. Our younger 3 kids and I went to Playa Mia. Busy, but large area with plenty for the kids. Very nice water park area in the ocean and another for younger kids on land. The beach wasn't as nice as Roatan, but still a great day.

Always love Cozumel! Did an excursion through thisiscozumel.com to Passion Island since Royal Caribbean cancelled our twister boat. Great company to book though! Was nervous to do my own excursion but had no issues. Felt completely safe despite ferry issues, warnings and cancellations at time of trip.

Did not do an exertion. Went to do some shopping. We never left the port. Lots and lots of shops to poke through. We had fun looking through the stores and getting our souvenirs. Tip....don't buy what you want in the first shop. Prices vary store to store! We bought Luchador Masks for $10 each after hunting through the shops. The first shops were $20-30 range for the same ones! Glad we shopped around!
