For the best island tour, ask for Eduardo in taxi 286. We loved him! Tell him the two ladies from Montana sent you and give him our love! If you want to go to the ruins, go early and hit the shops in port later. Don't listen to the sales pitches on the ship, you *can* leave the port and will be grateful for having done so. And if you still want all the free crap, you can still get it later in the day.

Cozumel is the queen of ports. Tons of ships in port at once (9 for us), most are tendering. Loads of shopping and eating along the malecon. They know how to handle 20,000 cruisers a day. Best excursions involve water: superb diving and snorkeling, great beaches and boat tours. Rent an electric bike and explore the north shore... best secluded beaches, funky cool bars and no crowds.

Great port loved it. Go outside the port for cheaper products of the same thing right in side of the port. It was amazing. Very friendly people. Loved this port.

This is personally one of my favorite ports that i have been to. Absolutely beautiful. The port area is nice for some shopping. When we were there last we went snorkeling. Best place for it!

FURY CATAMARAN EXCURSION WAS SO AWESOME. The catamarans were easy to board as they are on the same pier as the cruise ship. People were super friendly. Boat felt brand new, coral snorkeling was great. The beach they take you to afterwards is beautiful and pristine. The ride back was a hit. People dancing on deck with most of the crew. Bring cash because the photographer we had took amazing shots, worth the $12.00 they charged.

We have went to paradise beach twice now and each time the service was top notch! The main waiter even remembered our names from the year previous! It is a perfect place for a family with children! If you get there earlier than the crowd you can pick your lounge chair under the palm trees. (Watch out for falling coconuts haha) only negative is the water can be gross during certain times of the year. We went in March both times and the water kind of smelled and was full of dead seaweed! It also has rocky spots which they mark for you. I also recommend spending the extra money for the biggest package they offer!

We rented a jeep and toured the island ourselves. We really enjoyed this. There was an awesome spot off the road where we ate lunch. It was right on the beach and had a pool, hammocks, shopping, etc. It wasn't crowded at all. It was so peaceful and my son loved swimming in the pool. If you go around the island clockwise, a little ways after the Mayan Ruins, you will make a right turn. It's shortly after that on your left. There is a boat (on land) next to the parking area. Awesome place to stop.

We did an excursion on a catamaran that took us out and snorkeled. The waters were a little rough, but it was still very enjoyable. Our guides were very funny and entertaining, and made sure you were enjoying your time. Of course, the Cozumel beach was so beautiful.
