We'v been to Cozumel many times and wanted to try something different. Learned more than I expected about Tequila. Tasting pours were large, plus you got two margaritas, lunch, and a show before they dropped you back at the terminal to stagger back to the ship.

Take a shore excursion that itemizes a real sandy beach. Beware snorkel trips with poor equipment and a "drop off the shore" style beach

If all you want to do is hit the beach, consider San Francisco Beach Club. Just a short taxi ride from the ship. Plenty of great food, drink, BIG freshwater pool, immaculate, white sandy beach, kids and teens floating water-park, and great service to boot!

Did not like how this port was set up - all exposed to high pressure sales as soon as you have departed the ship. It was overwhelming and not pleasant. Chose to not continue onto other areas of island due to this.
