Skip the ship lead excursions and take a taxi to Playa Corona! $13 both ways in a taxi. The facilities aren't as nice as a resort, but who goes somewhere just because the bathrooms are nice? We were the only ones at the beach for a good 3 hours. This beach had the best snorkeling I have ever experienced. Cost for the beach was $5 per person or spend $10 in food and drinks per person. Included in cost is the use of chairs, tables, loungers, and hammocks. Also available snorkel gear, food and drink, and massages.

To anyone travelling to Cozumel, Mexico; may want to avoid a shop called Imex De Onix2. I went into this shop and bought a mexican blank for what I thought was for $35.00. I payed using a travel card. When I recieved my reciept, I was charged 1035.00 pesos. When I asked the cashier what this was in USA dollars, I was told around $60.00. I then told the cashier that I am not paying that amount, that she over charge me for the blanket and I want to return the blanket and get my money back. I was told that I cant return the item nor get my money back. To make a long story short I had to get Mexican security involved to ensure that I would get my money back. Unfortunately that did not happen, she instead of refunding me the money decided to charge my card again. So lesson of this story, if you are going to Mexico bring cash.

The island is beautiful. We did the Mayan Ruin, Tour and Beach excursion. Our tour guide was very passionate about his job. Souvenirs are cheap. I would visit Cozumel again!!!

Great stop . We like to rent a car here and explore ourselves since it’s such a small island . Lots of free stuff to do like the tequila tastings and many free beaches . We went to playa palancar both of our Cozumel trips for free. They have a bar umbrellas chairs rentals and an enclosed swimming area . Everybody tries to get you to buy cigars here. There’s some seedy areas but overall I’m comfortable here . Our second trip around we spent some time at chakanaab swimming with the dolphins . There’s a lot to offer there , swim up bar pools buffet bar snorkeling dolphins manatees sea lion shows etc .

We purchased the Passion Island excursion and it was WELL worth the money! It was the most beautiful place I have ever seen, and there were plenty of areas to wander off where there weren’t any other people hanging out. A Corona commercial was filmed there once! The boat ride there was lovely- we saw flying fish and the very visible line where the water changed from dark blue to aqua was amazing to see in person. The food was wonderful and the guacamole was to die for! (I am picky about guacamole!) I will say this, though, when you arrive, throw your things down on a table or beach chair to reserve your space and then go right to get something to eat. We did that and I’m glad we did, because later on, the lines were super long.

Taste of Mexico - Chocolate, Tacos, Tequila tour was awesome. Highly recommend this tour. Our guide Memo was great. He made sure we had a lot of fun. You get to try all kinds of margaritas and make your own chocolate bar. The tequila tasting was really informative. Learned a lot about tequila. You then get a taco bar and get to watch the flyers do a show. This was the best excursion we have done.

We went Scuba diving in all the ports and each port was better than the last. Cozumel was the best for diving but we loved Belize as well. My husband and I had the best time!

Best Margarita int the world is at Palmero's downtown on the waterfront. Great Mexican food and the greatest Margarita ever buit. It is the real McCoy. Much better than on the ship at the specialty restaurant and a third of the cost. Great atmosphere.
