Review summary
This cruise was fantastic! We enjoyed it for our honeymoon after having gotten married about 7 months ago. Our room steward, Francisco, was excellent - he was always extremely friendly whenever he saw us in the hallways, always greeting us by name with a huge smile on his face and asking how our day was going! We opted for the flexible dining time option for dinner, and were curious how this would go since in the past we have always done the traditional dining of a set time each night. It went great - we just went to ticket area each night and got a ticket for our seats right away (never any waiting). All but two of the nights, we got a private, two-top table. The other two nights, we were right next to other guests at larger tables, but that was fine. The food was delicious every night and the service was always incredible - never had to wait more than just a few minutes for each course and the servers kept our waters constantly filled. The buffet lines for breakfast were sometimes a little longer than I would have liked, but lunch was always quick - whether we were getting the buffet food or a Guy Fieri burger. One day we tried the Pig and Anchor Barbecue and it was delicious and not much of a wait! Our room was on the Lido Deck, which made me a little afraid that we might hear a lot of noise in our room, but we never did - everything was always quiet in the room, and it was nice to be so close to all the "action!" The Lido amenities (pools, water slides, deck chairs) were very crowded on at-sea days, but that is to be expected on a ship that can carry almost 4,000 guests. My husband took advantage of the water slides, Sky Ride, and ropes course on the afternoons when we were in port since many people were still off the ship doing excursions at these times, and the lines were much shorter. We enjoyed three awesome excursions on this cruise too - a tour and beach break at Bamboo Beach Club in Jamaica, String Ray City in Grand Cayman, and Salsa and Salsa (and Margaritas!) in Cozumel. All three were excellent, although we most enjoyed String Ray City and Salsa and Salsa. I highly recommend both of these outings! All the shows on this ship were great - we caught two nights of comedy at the Limelight and three of the musical shows at Liquid ("Amor Cubano," "Flick: Movie Magic" and "America Rocks"). The performers were all fantastic! You can tell how much hard work they put in to giving stellar performances every night! For a small performance space, Carnival does amazing things with the sets, lighting and effects too! Besides some of the crowds and long lines on the ship at times, we only had one other minor issue. Some of our alcohol that we had checked was not delivered to our room as it was supposed to be on the final night. But, as soon as Francisco found out about this, he immediately jumped into action, making calls and checking all the different areas of the ship where it might be located. Within less than 30 minutes, he had found it and brought it up to our room (the sticker had either not been placed on the package when we checked it in or it had somehow fallen off, so it got misplaced). But we were not upset about this since Francisco did such an amazing job in tracking it down so quickly! Overall, we had an amazing honeymoon! Highly recommend the Vista and this particular cruise itinerary!

Ship tip
Wait to do the Lido Deck amenities - such as water slides, pools, Sky Ride, and ropes course, etc. - on afternoons of the days you are in port. Everything is super crowded on at-sea days, but there are short or no lines at all on in-port afternoons while many people are still on the islands!
