Cozumel is definitely geared towards the tourists. That means there’s not a lot of local culture, and much of what you do see is manufactured. But that doesn’t mean that this port should be skipped. Even if you don’t go far, there are so many shops and things to see. There’s a lot of beaches and excursions to choose from for every preference and pocket book!

No excursion.... went shopping. Got a great deal on premium tequilla and pharmaceutical medicines (tramadol, 800mg ibuprophen, and flexaril). Did get suckered into an extended sales pitch and had to walk out. Senor Frogs was fun and brought us back into vacay mode. After that, we played with parrots before going back to the ship.

Debarkation was a breeze, no wait time at all. We opted to swim with Sting Rays and Sharks, and it was so fun! The water was so clear, the beach was beautiful. We went into downtown and ate at an La Chosa, it was delicious. If you don't want haggled to much, stay in the port area.
