Review summary
Embarkation was a breeze, it literally took us about 10 minutes from the time our driver dropped us off to the time we stepped foot on the boat. It was so easy and not crowded at all. Once we got on the boat, we went to eat on the Lido deck. I got a Guy's Burger and my wife got a taco salad. They were both absolutely delicious. We were able to get to our rooms about an hour after we boarded. (Our board time was between 12:00 and 12:30 and our rooms were available at 1:30) We had one of our suitcases right when we got there, and the other arrived around 5:30. This freaked us out a little so we called Guest Services and they assured us that it was normal for luggage to arrive at different times. The stateroom was pretty roomy and had plenty of closet space. We had more than enough room for all of our clothes and toiletries. About 10 minutes after we got to our room, our Steward stopped by and introduced himself as Pedro and asked our cleaning frequency preference. He was very nice, and hospitable. We also asked him to put ice in our cooler everyday, which he seemed happy to do. The Buffet and Dinner food was pretty good, not the best I've ever had but it kept us content. The Pizza was delicious but the wait times were pretty long. Sometimes there was only one worker, preparing dough, making pizza and serving the customers. It was worth the wait! The dinner experience was very nice. Our waiters were all so funny and they made sure we had everything we needed. They also did a little waiter show between the main course and dessert which was fun! Debarking was also a breeze, waiting in line a bit longer than but it was still not bad. We opted to check our bags so we didn't have to lug them around all morning, and it went pretty well. I feel if we would have checked our bags with a later debarkation time we wouldn't have had to wait as long. We were on the first call after the express debarkation (which is where passengers leave the ship with all bags in tow) and it was was pretty crowded. It might have been different if we were on a later call for debarkation and it would have just been people waiting in line with no baggage? It might have been quicker, but maybe not? My wife gets carsick very easily so we brought some bonine and she didn't have a problem at all. You could feel a lot of movement of the sea and wind with it being a smaller ship, but like I said, the OTC motion sickenss medicine did the trick. By the third and fourth day, she didn't even take anything and was still fine. Overall, our experience was priceless. This is an experience we will not forget and I'm already itching to book another cruise with our kids this time!Embarkation
