Love seeing St. Maarten. This time we took an excursion which was a boat tour to Maho Beach to see the planes flying overhead and landing nearby and also some snorkeling which we weren't able to see much of anything though.

St. Maarten was our favorite. If you like to snorkel check out Reef-it, its a 5 min walk from the ship. The ladies take you on a guided 45 minute snorkel adventure. After snorkeling walk to downtown Philipsburg, and take a bus to your next destination. Its only $2 a person. We rode to Maho beach, and back to Philipsburg for less than a taxi ride at the port. The ladies at Reef-it recommended that to us. I wish we had more time here.

All 11 of us took a taxi around the island. It was beautiful!

Philipsburg was OK. This was the only port (St. Maarten) where vendors on the street were much more aggressive trying to have you buy stuff. We still enjoyed the town and had a drink at a bar on the beach. It had beautiful views of the beach areas and our ship. We also did the afternoon excursion and beach break to the French side of the island. This was also an excellent excursion. We saw some of the Dutch and French influences on the island. We went to a beautiful beach and had rum punch drinks. I recommend this excursion.

Two countries in one small Caribbean island. Just a great adventure.

Definitely one of our favorite spots! We went for the water taxi and spent most of our day strolling around. We really enjoyed not having any excursions booked and just taking things as we go. Will (hopefully) be coming back for our next cruise with Symphony in March 2020.
