Review summary

It was a nightmare of a first time cruise. I have more complaints than anything else. From my deluxe beverage package, which I never got water in my room and arguing for three nights with them, to having items missing from my luggage and waiting 2-1/2 hours for it at departure. The list could continue but I rather write to corporate about it.

The staff were rude and obnoxious except for Baye Bradley who was the only person who helped us and Bonnie from the main dining room who the other guests from our table had complaint to regarding our servers.

Ship tip

See as many shows as you can and do not go on excursions. The day I got sick, I realized how empty it was and how easy it was to enjoy the ship.

I am so sorry you had a bad time ! You said the food in the main was bad . That part I don't understand . Once again I am sorry !

It sounds like the people we met on the freedom they came back from Cozumel and there drinking was taken away they would not tell us what happened they said the husband got jumped in Cozumel but there was no scratches on him and his glasses were fine there 1st cruise also there was more to there story and there is more to your story never had any problem with luggage I think when you try to bring stuff that is not allowed that's when you have problems

The allure of the seas is a awesome ship with great crew members... that are always there to make your time better maybe if you just asked for water they would have brought it to you... also there is water in the mini fridge....

So you had items removed from your luggage that were subsequently returned to you. It must have been something like an iron or hard liquor or a knife. Cruising is a little different from a land hotel. I just always order the water package and that does get automatically delivered. Reviews can be negative and you experienced what you experienced. This was your first cruise. Learn from it and try again. My first cruise found me green and seasick on my bunk bed in a tiny inside stateroom with an over abundance of clothes and high heels that hurt my feet. It was awful! But 20 or so cruises later I love it and I really love the Allure! So live and learn and enjoy the adventure.

orbitingplanet. you will see on this app there are alot of people who dont think reviews should ever be negative. they never question a positive review but shoot down anything they can about a bad one. they even try to clame someone as being paid by another cruise company. maybe they are here to defend there company. ??? lol. its hard fore some people to hear something bad about there favorite cruise line and still be positive. you need bad and good reviews to fully assess what a ship or line is like. not just all good. im going in may and im staying positive and i like the bad reviews so i know what to watch or be prepaired for.

I went on Allure and LOVED it. I had beverage package too mine did not include water delivered to room. I need water for meds too. I always picked up bottles at Park cafe on my way back to room so I had a good supply in fridge. this was my first cruise since 2000 so you could say it was my "first" cruise too since it's night and day from my last trip on the grandeur. I enjoyed doing a lot of research before trip. I knew what to expect - from boarding to departing. I guess cruising is just not yr thing. over the years (and yes there are many) I have learned the ideal postcard vacation does not exist stuff happens and if you don't roll with it and take a breath - than your vacation WILL suck.

Normally I never complain, I learned not too after beating cancer twice. If you see me this way, you see me this way, but the truth is the truth and perhaps if you go on this cruise you can find out for yourself. Thank you for your comments. The beverage package I had was the deluxe, which I have the order in front of me and states water to be delivered to the room which was important to me since I take a lot of meds.

The water in the Deluxe package is never delivered to your room. Bottles of water are just included in your package.

Were you trying to take something thru customs that isn't allowed? That will hold up your luggage. Why give a review if your not sharing the facts
