My favorite port. Easy to walk around. Great beach.

We booked an excursion thru CruisesOnly. It was the overview of all three ports. Not much to the excursions. I was looking forward to seeing Atlantis, and when we arrived at the entry. We had 20 minutes to get back to the bus. There was no need to go at all. I will not do this excursion again.

took a taxi tour of the island, and was so very happy with it. I hired him from the shopping area, as he spoke very good English and we had the taxi to ourselves for a very pleasant and enjoyable tour.

Don't miss the famous "Maho Beach" (Airport Beach) and watch the people get blown into the water from the jet blast. The burgers and Dutch fries at Sunset Beach Bar are delicious.

Orient Beach excursion. Don't bother with the food package, walk to the right side of the beach and check out the nudist side.

Stay at the beach at the port, it's beautiful, not over-crowded, and plenty of restaurants to pick from. Took a drive out to the Maho Beach to see the plane - lovely drive to see part of the island, unforunately, they are still in recovery due to the hurricane, and we wanted to visit the French side, but the beach is washed away, we were advised not to go. I would recommend just taking a taxi to Maho Beach, see the planes, and go straight back to the beach at the port. The beach under the planes is over-crowded, as are the bars.
