Fantastic Ship!

Sail Date: March 13, 2016

Reviewed: 8 months ago

Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Balcony

Even though the Allure and her sisters, Oasis and Harmony, are the largest cruise ships in the world, one rarely feels like they are crowded on board. There are plenty of venues for passengers, with tons of stuff to do. A word to the wise: if you're going to see the shows, make your reservations in advance to get the best seats. The food and activities were wonderful. I'm a loyal Royal Caribbean cruiser.

Cabin / Stateroom
Embarkation and Disembarkation
This was the most efficient embarking and disembarking procedures I've seen. It was literally 15 minutes from stepping out of the cab to having a drink in hand on deck.
Ship Quality
Destinations and Excursions
St. Thomas and St. Maarten are great, but I'm not a big fan of Nassau. We only spent half a day there, though, and on this cruise, the ship is the main destination.
Onboard Activities
Entertainment
The Broadway show is a big draw, but don't miss the diving show (Ocean Aria) or musical/acrobatic review (Blue Planet).
Service and Staff
Food and Dining
Main dining was fine, and specialty restaurants were abundant and amazing.
Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida
Nassau, Bahamas
The vendors in many of the waterfront areas are aggressive.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Don't miss the famous "Maho Beach" (Airport Beach) and watch the people get blown into the water from the jet blast. The burgers and Dutch fries at Sunset Beach Bar are delicious.
