Went to eagle beach from the port, sat on the beach and just relaxed, then got a deal on a jet ski; 99 for an hour for my wife and I. Beautiful. Then went to the open air market and then to iguana joes for dinner.

Save some money and take the public transit bus. It is inexpensive and you not only get to see a ton of the island but also enjoy the local people.

It's a desert. Not lush green. I didn't dislike it but it wasn't what I had expected.

Take the local bus 10 to DePalm Beach area. Beaches are open to the public. You can take a taxi back to town. Go to the "Paddock" bar for a drink overlooking the port and the ship. Check out the bar with all the money hanging all over.
