We were not impressed with the port in Aruba. There was not much to do close to the port. We bought the Downtown Aruba Walking & Tasting tour. Mark was our tour guide and it was the worst excursion we've ever been on. In fact, it was so bad, we left the excursion after 15-20 minutes. The guide was not interesting and kept repeating himself. Definitely would not recommend this excursion and would suggest to anyone visiting Aruba to get a taxi and go into the city where it is much nicer with more activities.

Lots of variety at the shops by the port. And they are air conditioned. We did a sail and snorkel on a restored schooner. Lovely boat, wonderful crew, tasty lunch and interesting snorkeling.

Aruba was a amazing island to visit and had a absolutely incredible beaches. We did some snorkeling in their crystal clear water and beautiful fish. The only bad thing that we encountered on the island was the taxi drivers. The drivers seem to speed and not care to make your ride safe or comfortable.

Aruba was great. No other way to say it. Aruba has calm water, modern cities, and that classical Caribbean vibe. If you want something interesting to do i recommend checking out the lighthouse overlooking the ocean. You can get some really good pictures! Enjoy!

We did a DIY beach break. It was very easy as the public bus stop is righ across from where we docked. It think it cost us $2 round trip to get to the beach. The beaches are very clean and there are chairs and palapas on some of them. If you do use them, however, someone (I think from the nearest hotel/park) will collect $5 a person for their use. The water was very rough the day we went and I took a major swan dive. It scared the heck out of me!!
