Overall a pretty cool cruise. Our first time to these ports of call, learned what we’ll do different next time. Horizon is nice ship but I can’t say I like it better than some of the older ships in the fleet.
Embarkation

Once we got to the ship, very smooth. Some delay with the transfer from Ft Lauderdale airport to Miami cruise port
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The main dining was great. We were treated by our travel buddies to a dinner at 555 steakhouse and it was fantastic
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
The pools seemed kinda small. The sky ride was not available for use, which was disappointing.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Didn’t catch any of the stage shows this trip. There was o e particularly outstanding comedian at the Pubchliner, the other three we saw were okay to good.
Children's Programs
No kids
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Dining room staff was efficient and fun. Room steward was good.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Ship was clean and well maintained. The bathrooms likely to see high volume (outside the lounges and theater) were entirely too small (just three stalls) and decorated in a horrendous shade of green
Cabin / Stateroom

Bed was comfy, kept clean. Was a bit on the small side
Very pretty. We did a catamaran snorkel and beach day. Great crew. Tasty rum punch and nice beach. I think the excursion was through Chuuka, booked with Carnival
It is a beautiful little city. We went free style during the day (went to Blue bay beach) and did Willemstad by Night as a Carnival excursion. It was cool to see the city by night and a very informative excursion. Heavy on the interesting, kinda light on the fun. When we go back to Curocao we’ll probably do Mambo Beach and see some of the places Willemstad by Night tour pointed out but we weren’t able to do (see some of the historic homes, eat at restaurant in Ft Nassau, see the cathedral)
Lots of variety at the shops by the port. And they are air conditioned. We did a sail and snorkel on a restored schooner. Lovely boat, wonderful crew, tasty lunch and interesting snorkeling.
Because we had an early flight I think this was the smoothest disembarkation experience we’ve ever had. The crew was very professional, even though some folks on their last cruise day do not follow directions very well. If you don’t have an early flight, Faster to the Fun is also Faster off the Boat, might be worth the $.
