The taxi/tour people when we were getting off of the ship were a little too aggressive. The people with monkeys were aggressive as well.

Captain Quacker and crew took us on a catamaran sail and snorkel tour. What a beautiful day for a sail! Tropical fish all round, coral, sea ray, shells and a ship run aground in a hurricane - a lot to see in the crystal clear water!

I booked a tour with Thenford Grey Tours (The Grand Tour of St. Kitts). I loved this tour & recommend it highly if you want a great tour of the island with a beach break at the end. You hit all the highlights of the island and end up at S. Friars Beach with a cute bar that serves food. The beach has chairs, lots of shade, hammocks. It was the perfect day and got you back to port with plenty of time to do a little shopping (if you want) and make it back on the ship in plenty of time.

The snorkeling excursion was fantastic but the port itself not great. Suggest you head to the water if visiting St. Kitts.

Be careful of the guys walking with monkeys around the stores on the waterfront. They will walk up to you and set the monkey(s) in your arms and on your head, and while your smiling & falling in love with the little guys, they will offer to take pictures of you with your camera. Of course you say yes because your caught up in the moment. He snaps several pictures of you & monkey(s), then your spouse, then both together, then takes the monkeys back with your camera still in his hand and says, "That will be $20" Feeling obligated you then have a choice of paying him or making a scene. We figured it's still cheaper than what the ship would charge! 9 pics for $20 vs. $15 for 1 portrait!
