Q: Are there any public beaches near the cruise port? Trying to cut down on excursion expenses on the cruise and would love to explore without the need for a tour or paid excursion. Thanks in advance!

A: Not within walking distance, but there are loads of taxi waiting to take you to any beach you choose. We usually go down to Cockleshell Bay, which last time was $10pp each way. After the cruise excursion left we had whole beach to ourself. Frigate... bay is also very popular and closer to port.See More

A: Be careful of the monkey people. they are everywhere with baby monkeys trying to lure u into holding 1 then asking for money. they are all in your personal space.

A: Frigate Bay is the closest, located about 10 minutes from the cruise port. This section of the island is very narrow, allowing you to actually walk across the island from South Frigate Bay to North Frigate Bay.

A: it's not in walking distance but the Marriott st. kitts has day passes and it's wonderful. beautiful beach, great amenities. there are some touristy beaches on st. kitts that are over crowded and there are monkeys and a wild boar hanging around it's... not an enjoyable beach.See More

A: Islands Museum is at the port. Walk the historic downtown streets. Go down the pier to Port Zante mall. Ride the scenic old railway trail. The islands Rainforest. Visit a sugar manufacturing estates.

A: Blue Water Safaris has a snorkel excursion that is good. My cousin is trying the paddle board this year. There is the food walking tour I will try if I can’t do the Cook Like a Local cooking class this year.
