We took an excursion to snorkel at Norman Island. We made 2 stops - one where we snorkeled right off the boat, and for the second we went to a small beach where there was some snorkeling available off to the side. Again, we had much more time available at the port, would have liked to had more time at the beach. Walked around some at the stores once we got back to Tortola.

We were supposed to go on an excursion but due to miscommunication we got left at the dock. We booked outside the cruise. By the time we realized we had been left we were hot and hungry so we went back to the boat to get on wifi. The port is not very active in Tortola yet. They are still recovering from the hurricanes 2 years ago.

We booked the Virgin Gorda and Baths. Area was beautiful but this is not an easy walk. We felt like we were herded through like cattle and had to get up early for it. Great bar/restaurant at top of entrance. Shopping was ho him at pier. Did not have enough time to explore the area. Island did seem clean. Sadly, excursion tainted our experience.

We didn't dock until 2:30 so I didn't get off the ship, but wished that I had. My friends went straight to the beach for a revisit and was thrilled that they did. I visited this island two years ago and loved it here. Very beautiful and not overly commercialize yet. If you've never been here, I would suggest taking a tour of the island, followed by a trip to one of their beaches.

Don't miss the snorkeling in the clear water, also hang on when traveling up and down the mountain roads in the open air buses , It 's white knuckles all the way ! Views of Tortola are from the top of the mountains. That's all I'm going to say, it's a hairy ride !

The Baths at Virgin Gorda are a top destination in the Caribbean. Well worth taking the path to "Devil's Beach", not as hard as guide said, with spectacular scenery.

From now on my Caribbean trip must include this wonderful island. Love every part of this day. You must do the jet ski boats at Peter island. Such a blast
