Review summary

Overall, pretty good but I’m not inclined to book this ship again because of all the extra charges and lack of public space. I like NCL, but will book other ships. Food is always good on NCL.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We did 3 meal speciality dining and wished we’d done 5. Los Lobos was amazing! We did main dining room once, which was fine. Loved more Intimate dining rooms - Taste and Savor (which are included) - menu was consistent there. Easy to make reservations onboard, but book as soon as you can. Very accommodating to food allergies.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We had wished for more deck space. Hard to come by. Slides were good, need to be about 170+ to make it through drop slide or you get stuck. Didn’t do VR or Laser Tag. Speedway is great. 8 mins ride. We walked on to standby. Although $15/ride is expensive. Wish they included a ride per passenger, maybe they’d get more repeat business. We paid $399 for our son to have speedway, laser tag and VR unlimited. You’d have to do about 26 activities to break even. Good if you’ll do that, but he didn’t. $25 pp for any fitness classes or $79 for unlimited pass for week. Fitness center had TRX area.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
LOVED LOVED LOVED Choir of Man. Appropriate for everyone. Friends went to Kinky Boots, they liked it but it could run some people the wrong way. We were tired that night. ☺️ Bar entertainment and bands were great. Sarcastic and interactive piano player in The District was a hoot!!

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Generally staff was great. Sometimes thought bar tending staff were lacking on deck area. Always a few confused people though. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Very clean boat, but did feel like it was more closed in than other shops I’ve been on. Boat is more narrow than some. Definitely felt that in cabin hallways. Again, deck area could be better. Just a few pools and not well monitored “adult pool.” Vibe area only has hot tubs and cost $209/pp for the week. Did not do it.

Ship tip

Go for early breakfast if you want to be seated quickly. Drink package is worth the money. Cabin stewards seemed less attentive than we have experienced in the past, but I think that’s because the responsibility is split up between different departments. Sometimes took us a while to get someone to pick up phone. Use the APP to book things onboard as soon as you arrive. Pre-order water to your room.

Ports of call

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

3 out of 5
We booked the Virgin Gorda and Baths. Area was beautiful but this is not an easy walk. We felt like we were herded through like cattle and had to get up early for it. Great bar/restaurant at top of entrance. Shopping was ho him at pier. Did not have enough time to explore the area. Island did seem clean. Sadly, excursion tainted our experience.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
Love St Thomas. Been here before and booked Turtle Cove Catamaran Saul and Snorkel. Great crew. Nice port shopping. Worth getting off the boat.

Miami, Florida

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Only drawback is going at night, less excursions available but Old San Juan at night was cool. Many of the shops closed before we got off boat.
