This port was beautiful. The mangroves were like nothing we had ever seen before (we liked them much more than the ones in Key West), and our kayaking tour was amazing. We were also able to go in a cave and see pre-Colombian cave drawings. After that part of the tour, we were dropped off at Cayo Levantado, which was a pristine beach. Overall, a wonderful day!

Ate the best sandwich of our life at this port. Atun Panini- fresh grilled Tuna on a Panini to die for. Went on a nice island tour. This is a good port to book your tour with the shore excursion desk. Taxi's aren't watched closely by government and many can't be trusted (you might get robbed). This was a beautiful port.

I have previously visited the Dominican Repulbic but did not realize that Samana was on the other side from the beaches which is what interested our group the most. However, the private island excursion was enjoyable.
