Beautiful port and well developed. Beware the shopping area as it is mostly luxury brands with ridiculous pricing. Highly recommend The VI Cat tour. Was great snorkeling and sight seeing from the water!

Beautiful island. Port (Crown Bay) was clean and shop keepers did not bother us/try to sell us things like they do at some other ports. Do not recommend Maegans Beach- such a letdown! SMELLS LIKE ROTTON EGGS! Herd such great things and paid $15 per person per direction on the open air taxi (30 per person round trip) to get there and then $5 per person to get into the park. First impression was that it was so beautiful when we pulled in. But then we started walking torward the beach and EW. The smell! 1/3 of the beach was closed! Someone told us that sewer was in the water and it did smell like it. We walked further down and saw signs that were posted that informed us it wasn’t sewage luckily but that when the Algea dies it releases a brown color and rotten egg smell. With 1/3 of the beach closed due to the algea, we didn’t feel comfortable swimming. We were so hoping for a nice beach day so we walked further down where it was less crowded and although the smell wasn’t as strong it was still pungent in the air. 30 minutes after arriving we couldn’t take the smell anymore and got back on the taxi. Open air taxi was kind of overpriced but a fun experience and lots of pretty views driving to the top of the mountain. Very cool iguana hanging out at the port. There are two cruise ports and the one we went to was small so not a crazy amount of shops. We enjoyed the empty boat when we got back on the ship early,

Got private tour from someone outside of carnival. No beachtime but saw whole island. He had great info. Found local bar and shopped after. Downtown was kind of a let down.

Still has some hurricane damage but the island was beautiful and people were nice. A lot of the stores weren't quite ready for tourists like they have been in the past.

Prettier, cleaner, more interesting, but the mass confusion of taxi and bus drivers and dispatchers who seem to accomplish little was not pleasant.

Any recommendations on the best beach spot in St. Thomas for a couple to rent chairs and umbrellas on the beach with restaurants close by to eat or servers come to you on the beach? Looking for a little mommy/daddy private time!!

Jumped into a taxi headed to Megan’s Bay but ended up getting out at Secret Hidden resort beach. Beautiful lil beach, incredibly nice folks working in the shop that rented chairs umbrellas and had many snacks to purchase. They have a beach front restaurant and everything looked great but since we had eaten a large breakfast we didn’t order anything. Many taxis waiting out front when it was time to head back which took us on a more scenic drive. Taxi 10.00 pp each way and 15.00 for 2 chairs and umbrella if I remember correctly. Super relaxing and the beach was absolutely beautiful

We took a taxi tour that cost us $50 for two of us. It was a great tour that took us all around the island, to include Paradise Point. It is a beautiful island with so much to see. Loved it here!

Excursion was really fun! We took a catamaran to a spot where we snorkeled then went to a private beach. We walked to town which was fun to see. It would have been nice to have more info about all the ports - history, local info, areas to go for shopping, exploring, sightseeing, etc.
