On our return to Miami, the ship stops at their private island of Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas, which is a big island compared to the RCL private island that lies just to the right of NCL's and is dwarfed by the expanse and locale of NCL's island. The protected cove, beach, amenities were plenty and the water was crystal clear, the sand white and food and drinks were all included. There are some lounges on the beach adjacent to Palm Trees and with the unrelenting sun beating down, you will want to snag those or be burned to a crisp. We spent about 2.5-3 hours on the island and once again gave into the heat to return to ship by tender and enjoy a cool drink and meal onboard in air conditioned comfort.

Crowded private island. Nice but too many people. Tendering took forever!!! We literally waited for two hours to get off the ship (and at the end of the day over an hour to get back on). We did swim with pigs though (excursion) which was phenomenal! Oink oink!

Beautiful bright blue waters and very clean beach. This is a private island owned by NCL. They have bars and food available so just soak up the sun all day...

Finally made it to this port. It's hit or miss if you will. You have to tender to the port and even the slightest wind makes for a very bumpy ride. The Cay itself is very nice. It's still being worked on. Lots of chairs but they filled up fast. A lot of walking if its hot. Drinks and food offerings are good and most covered if you have the drink card from the ship and free barbecue is put on by the ship was quite good. The water there is just so pretty.

Loved this stop. NCL let you use your drink card and they had great barbeque food. They also had GREAT music playing in several places. The shopping area could have been better. Loved this stop though.

We LOVE Cuba and can't wait to go back. We met Irina during my first visit to Cuba when we did the Havana Overnight Shore Tour through Cubaoutings. Norwegian Sky Cruise ship was docked overnight in Havana port. This time we were fortunate to book a Private day Tour by vintage convertible cars for our group of 9 people. It was simply terrific. The tour feels like you have a friend on the island showing you around to different places of interest and giving you an amazing amount of information about the island. We feel in love with Havana. The sights recount the glory of a past era and the pace of renovation in bringing that back is impressive. Irina was charming, punctual, very informative, full of fun, flexible and able to tailor the tour to your interests on the fly. She is an enjoyable person to talk to and travel with. If you're considering this tour, BOOK IT! I can't imagine a nicer, kinder, more considerate person. Visited everywhere we expected plus many other unexpected stops that made our day so complete. She took us to the special places that a tourist would not be able to go at the first time. Dining recommendations were wonderful. Thank you. Anyone thinking of going on a Havana shore tour this is the one to go on and irina is the perfect guide. Very professed and caring, and passion about the area. We were able to maximize the time and have very productive day. I recommend her work to any cruiser- traveller that wants to have a local experience in Cuba!!!

Loved the island. I was not impressed with the cruise goers around me. We arrived early to the island and claimed seats in the shade. While we were enjoying the water, a group of seven disrespectful individuals made their own row of chairs behind us and moved our chairs forward. We had to listen to them disrespect the crew members who were serving them as well as our country. I wish there was more security to tell people that moving chairs and being disrespectful was unacceptable.

Beautiful place. White sand and calm water, so even the kids could swim comfortably. Just the big rocks on the bottom were annoying, but I could live with it :-) Next time I'll bring water shoes with me :-)

This lil island was a lot of fun...you are tendered ashore which does take a while but the island itself is nice...the beach is rough make sure you have water shoes as the beach is more like a creek bed with rocks on the bottom...very hard walking in
