A: Been at that island twice, never seen an excursion for fishing, or anybody fishing off shore.
Answered by redtail2 on November 15, 2024
A: You should call Royal Caribbean and get the exact information but there is fishing and I'm not sure where and if you have a balcony you know not to fish off of it

A: May want to be careful I have seen YouTube videos where person went swimming with the pigs and had an open cut on their leg and ended up getting a bad infection from the pig waste in the water

A: it is a very rare occurrence, but if you have an open wound, do not take the chance. There are bandages and other treatments you can use to protect the wound, but all risky. it happened thus year to a person called Jennifer Barlow out of Atlanta.

A: ... and oh, of course i think you have to buy it thru NCL.
Answered by picalo on August 26, 2024
A: I did it in 2016 and really enjoyed it. The actual time with the pigs is short but seemed just enough for me. The only downside is the diarrhea everywhere but surprisingly it didn't bother me.

A: yes and if your sitting by the beach they will come around and ask if you want a drink too at times. they bring their workers from the ship.

Answered by DACruiser57 on December 23, 2023
A: We booked a clamshell and were in the first boarding group as an excursion. highly recommend. friends did not and weren't able to leave until after 10a and had to walk a very long way for open chairs.
Answered by MSHERFIELD on November 21, 2023
A: You also get priority boarding if you are Gold or Diamond in Voyagers club .
Answered by biker5 on November 18, 2023
A: If you book a cruise line excursion you get priority for the tenders. It’s also not that bad of a wait. It’s a short ride and each tender holds quite a few people.

A: US dollars are accepted pretty much anywhere in the Caribbean. They are a 1:1 with the Bahamian dollar so it’s very easy for people to use them when given as tips.
Answered by Jerrec on November 8, 2023
A: US dollars! Where are people going to get Bahamian dollars? GSC is a private island.
Answered by jpmato16 on November 9, 2023
A: Yes, they may be rented through NCL as part of your shore excursion

A: Great Stirrup Cay is an extension of the ship, so you can pay for drinks, tours, and rentals with your cruise card. The only reason to bring cash is to go shopping at the island’s straw market. All of the food service on the private island is include... d in your cruise fare.See More

A: There was no charge for food or drinks, (if you have beverage package/free at sea) on Great Stirrup. Use your sea card like onboard. Bars closed at 3.30 pm the day we visited, but the tenders were running till 5.30, so cut our beach time short😖. Loc... al souvenirs available at stalls, these are cash only.See More

A: It's all included. Enjoy. I've heard in reviews that the food truck is great.
Answered by spookylu on October 2, 2022
A: Just an added note: The island has no pier, so you must take a tender boat from the ship to the island and visa versa. While tenders run back and forth all day, you’ll need to wait in line on either end for boats to arrive and disembark passengers be... fore you can board.See More

A: I would suggest contacting NCL and telling them. They can probably make accommodations for her like a beach wheelchair, if necessary.
