Going in May of 2019, but curious if anyone has ever booked excursions off of Shore excursioner? If so, your thoughts. We are taking the Eastern Caribbean cruise from Galveston for 8 days.

Freeport is a very ugly port with nothing at all to do. I felt it was a waist of time to get off there.

Had not planned excursions ahead of time but walked out onto the port and there were a number of taxi drivers. My husband and I paid a total of 34.00 to get onto Taino beach which was BEAUTIFUL.. The $34 included two $16 tickets good for a taxi ride to and from the beach and a $2 beach entrance. Taino beach had kayaks for free use.

The port of Freeport is a nice place. We did the open ocean swim with dolphins offered through UNEXSO. It was a great excursion, one of the best we have ever had. Well worth the cost and I would probably book it again if I return.

We loved the dolphins. We kissed and petted them.

The smell turns your stomach from dry docks and cargo ships. Only a few shops and local vendors.

So industrial and ugly that we stayed in the ship.

I don't enjoy this port. Little to do right off the ship. There is a small straw market there to browse through. An excursion would be a great idea to see the sites.

Unlike nassau, there isn't much to see when you get right off the boat here. There is a small straw market right off the boat but that's it, so be prepared to take a taxi to even be able to see anything here.
