This port reminds you of the Port of Baltimore. We walked around the little shops and then headed back to the ship. Not much there unless you take a bus or cab.

We went to an all inclusive beach with lunch. Again we were packed like ants. Food was only okay. The drinks were watered down and they were serving underage kids.

We booked Paradise Cove/ Deadman's Reef Full Day Pass on TripAdvisor - I HIGHLY recommend it! The snorkeling was INCREDIBLE, as was kayaking! So many sea turtles, fish, and more! We didn't travel too far out, but a few said they saw a barracuda, stingray, and a reef shark about 5-6ft long! The staff was incredibly personable, friendly and helpful. Would love to return!

Not somewhere I would want to visit again unless I did an excursion

Freeport isn’t one of my favorite ports. If you don’t have an excursion, the port is only good for stretching your legs and grabbing a drink at Senor Frogs.

Lots of shopping but if you want a beach you must book travel to it.

At this port, we did the Dolphin Experience excursion through UNESCO (something we booked through Carnival). This, along with Grand Turk, was our top 2 most favorite and memorable experiences. Booking through Carnival made the excursion run really smoothly; we only ran into a problem when it wasn't clear what time the shuttle to pick us up would return, and that led to us not having enough time to shop for souvenirs before we had to return to the ship. The only other disappointed we had about Freeport was that there wasn't a beach nearby. It was very industrial, which made it a very odd choice for a port.

The glass bottom boat including feeding some sharks, and seeing lots of yellow-tailed snappers.
