Don't waste your time. Very old ship we paid $1200 for an interior room after taxes and all the additional fees. The excursions were "VERY" expensive and absolutely not worth it. Save your money and go on an all inclusive to Mexico.

Embarkation

They were organized getting on the ship

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Drinks were very expensive. If you wanted a drink package all persons 21 and above in your room has to purchase it. Then beyond that they add 18% to any additional charges, then expect a tip.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
There was only 1 pool for 2000 people. They look like ants in water, completely uninviting. The 21 and older area didn't have a pool. If there was a fitness center I couldn't find it. They had water slides, designed for children.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The comedians made the trip at least okay. The trivia was fun, but there were to many people for many of the activities to be any fun at all.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The ships staff were for the most part very nice. I had a pour experience with the excursion folks.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The people on the ship-guests were slobs. Food dropped all over the place plates left in the hallways. The ship was very old and needs to be updated BADLY!!!!!!!

Cabin / Stateroom

Ports of call

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

We went to an all inclusive beach with lunch. Again we were packed like ants. Food was only okay. The drinks were watered down and they were serving underage kids.

Nassau, Bahamas

We stood around in the hot sun for over an hour waiting to get- somewhere. There was no communication. We followed a man with a sign not really know where we were going. Then was pack in like sardines in an area again waiting. There were people smoking, no shade very miserable. Once we got on the boat it took about 30 min to get to the island that we were to do the Dolphin Encounter. Our excursion was to start at 9:30 and we didn't get to the island until about 10:50. We were to be a part of the 11:00 dolphin encounter, we waited in the hot sun, no water to be had. We couldn't take our own pictures, and the least expensive package of pictures was $117.00- we were not warned or given any information about what to expect. We were told to bring some cash. Well- you needed to take out a mortgage. Drinks started about $12.00 and a basic chicken sandwich was $26.00- They didn't even offer a cup of water without paying. We wanted to go back to the ship, we were hungry and thirsty. The staff on the island were rude and borderline abusive. They pointed and said to several of us. To go make a line and stay in it. BUT as others came up it became a mush of people without any information. We waited an hour for a late boat. PLEASE BEWARE!!! You must bring water!!! Or risk dehydration. I was sick once I got back on the boat, and I did take a bottle of water that I tried to sip as not to finish and pass out.

I was on this cruise with you. We had a great time. I suggest doing more research before your next cruise. I will agree that the guests on this cruise where messy and disrespectful. We stay out of the buffet for that reason. Dining or room service

Me and my family were on this ship the sailing before yours. We really enjoyed ourselves! It was our first cruise and I did a TON of research before booking and during our countdown. We didnt book any excursions though on either island. Its alot to pay for when 2 of our kids are over 4 yrs old but not old enough to have their own cash. Sorry your experience was bad. But as a starter cruise it was awesome for us.

My wife and went on this ship on our honeymoon 25 years ago which was a big step up from my first cruise which was a converted navy transport ship from ww2. I have been on this ship several times since and have enjoyed it every time.

Pretty sure this is still a training ship. Been on it several times. Never had a complaint. Your on vacation. Get over yourself! Life is what you make it.

Sorry you had such a poor experience. I agree that you might have better luck with a newer ship and/or traveling off season. Cruising isn’t for everyone.

Sounds like you didn't do your research ahead of the cruise. We have cruised on Ecstasy and had a great time but we are seasoned cruisers, maybe you need to go on a larger class ship.

Sorry you had a bad experience. We love cruising but travel in the off season when prices are usually cheaper and rarely book excursions through the ship. Independent excursions are usually cheaper, less crowded and last longer. Don’t fall for the scare tactics of the cruise line that you will be left behind if you don’t book through them. As long as the vendor has good ratings on travel websites and your tour will be back at port at least an hour before your all aboard time, you will be fine.
