Outside of the port area is nice. Where the ships dock is a very industrial area. The island was also hit hard by hurricane Matthew and is still in recovery mode. Not a bad place to visit though. Super friendly people too

We did the Garden of Groves tour and we really lucked out with a wonderful bus driver! His nickname was Teddybear. He told us all the history about the island while we were riding and returning from the gardens. The gardens were very nice as well, we even saw some hummingbirds. After the garden we stopped at a straw market and did some shopping then returned with plenty of time.

Rent a jeep and talk to locals about beaches and caves. I guess if your looking for shopping and partying it's not for u. But if you are looking for beautiful unspoiled beaches and amazing sites. You just have to go off the beaten trail. Pirate of the Caribbean was filmed on this island. We found the beach and it was AMAZING!'n

This was our favorite port. The atmosphere was so laid back and relaxing. We took a taxi too and from Port Lucaya and the cab drivers (Donald and Adrian) each way were friendly and both had a great sense of humor. The market place was very nice. It was clean, had plenty of restrooms, shops and places to eat. Our favorite part was sitting in the market square and listening to Mango sing, play and tell silly jokes.
