Review summary

Good first cruise. Nice short trip with a port stop each day. Super hard working staff and wonderful food made for a very nice experience! Lacking in activities for teens.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easy and much quicker than expected.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We didn't drink at all but the food was plentiful and lots of nutritious and vegetarian options always offered.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Used hottubs but never went in a pool; outdoor pools way too crowded with small children. Solarium was nice but my 13year old is too young to swim with me in this adults-only pool, which was the only reason I'd want to go in with a pool that small. Should allow this pool to take older kids as well. Rockclimbing and bungee jumps were fun - would suggest these be lit for night / available until later.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Rock show was boring. They dancers tried hard enough (the singer who did Whitney Houston song was esp good), but it was repetitive and not clear what age group would enjoy this. Atrium area small-show music was better, and dance lesson sessions were fun as were the music-based trivia games in the bar areas. Should offer different movies each night - with little else for teens to do this is what they opted for, but there's only so many times you can watch Mama Mia 2. Only 2 ping pong tables (we finally got to one our last day - they were always taken) and 2 shuffleboards (and only 3 sticks between them - not well appointed)

Children's Programs

N/A because we have teens, but I can say that this cruise does not do well with teen options at ALL. they do have a teen center, but nothing was going on in there - no staff initiating games or trivia for that age group. My daughters went in there to play foosball, checked back a few other times to see if anything more was going on... but there never was.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The attentiveness of the staff was def. the best part about this cruise. Waiters, cabin stewards, even the bungee jump workers were very hard working, super friendly and very concerned for everyone's happiness.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
easy to get around.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The pulley (bunk) beds worked out great for us (note: hey are optional and push up into the roof if not let down by the steward). Beds more comfortable and room more spacious and appointed than I'd expected! Like the mid-ship location of this room.

Ship tip

Best if you do a trip with no "days at seas" unless you are good with a book on the deck; likely I'd have been bored if I were stuck on the ship all day, but was glad we chose a short fun trip that was at a port of call each day

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida Did not visit port

just parked and go on board.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

5 out of 5
Excellent excursion through a local company not affiliated with the cruise. Find Paradise Cove for snorkeling - when else will you get a chance to pet a sea turtle? It was amazing.

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

4 out of 5
will be great when finished so that boats don't have to tender to the island. It was fun but excursions seemed pricey so we didn't do any.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
easy peasy.
