Very beautiful but you can tell it is man-made. We were sorely disappointed that even though we brought our own snorkel equipment so we wouldn't have to waste money on rentals ($20+ to rent), the beach patrol whistled for us to get out of the water and go rent swim vests if we wanted to snorkel near the rocks- which they wanted $6 for! It should be at your own risk, thank you very much! They were just trying to get more money out of you. I suggest that you walk around the island to find a more secluded place to lounge- when you first get on the island it looks like the only places are right off the ship but the beautiful, more secluded areas of the beach are just a short walk away from the entrance area!

Royal Caribbean did a perfect job on this private island. It was so beautiful and fit for all kinds of activities even if you just wanted to hang out on a beach lounger until a palm tree. Very relaxing and so much fun! Food was excellent!

Don't plan your Nassau day based on thinking you'll get beach time at Cococay. We didn't stop. Would have spent the day in Nassau at more of a private beach area if we'd known.
