Not much to do here. Off the ship is a shopping terminal and the Big Fiddle. Walked along a new waterfront area, with just a couple of food and ice cream trucks. Looks like the town is preparing for more ships.

Had 2 different excursions cancelled on us. One before the trip started and one the day before. Tried to reschedule but all of the good excursion were already booked. Stayed in town and that was a waste. Not a tourist town at all. Took a walk around and visited a local bar that at least had some good live music and delicious poutine.

Rainy and windy, very typical coastal North Atlantic Fall day. We walked around town and viewed the old buildings and churches. St. George's Church was a treasure trove of history. Built in the late 1700's it had been kept up nicely. There was a narrator who gave us the history of the church and all of the historical changes it had. I noticed a Templar cross high up above a arch and was told that the first Minister was a Free Mason and that got my interest really peaking ( I'm a history nut). We ate at the Governor's Pub & Eatery and had some wonderful oysters and some soup. Can't forget the 2 pints to wash it all down.

Absolutely beautiful to get outside the town. It was a small town, so not much to see there in my opinion. We rented a car to see some of the beautiful areas around the lakes and went to Baddeck and the Alexander Graham Bell Museum. It was an interesting stop, which doesn't take too long. Baddeck is a cute town. But what we really enjoyed was the drive. We wish we had more time in this port. It felt too rushed. Would have loved to drive around and see more.
