It was our first time cruising on Holland American Line and we will definitely cruise with her again. We had an absolutely wonderful experience and were able to see lots of the fall foliage.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All the food on board was very good. The speciality dining rooms were amazing. The staff at the Lido Buffet were ALL very accommodating and always with a smile and kind word. The first couple of nights in the main dining room, it seemed that they could not get things organized so it took a little longer than normal to get the food. But otherwise it was very good.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Enjoyed the programs that were offered on board very much. The Microsoft classes were all excellent and so helpful for our everyday usage. The American Test Kitchen was amazing.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Enjoyed all the entertainment on board. The Lincoln Center Stage was a wonderful surprise for us. The 4 young musicians were all amazing. The B.B King band and singers were out of this world - every night they had great music. The dueling pianos was also very nice. The mainstage shows were good

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the staff was great. They were all so personable. All of the officers were approachable and very helpful. The wait staff was just amazing and our room steward was wonderful.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
I liked the design of the ship. There were plenty places to sit and just enjoy the soft music and read a book or visit with friends. The areas were all well maintained. Some areas showed their age but always very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was very clean. Plenty of storage space. Enjoyed the balcony. Bathroom was surprisingly big with a tub.

Ship tip

Very laid back. Somewhat older crowd.

Used the subway to get around and visited the 9/11 Memorial - very moving. Then took the subway to Rockefeller Center and walked to Central Park and back to ship.

Disembarkation

Extremely smooth disembarkation. When our color was called, we were able to walk off the ship without much delay. Picked up our bags and we were out the door within 15 minutes.
