The Bras d’Or Lake and Gaelic village settlement were very interesting and beautiful. However, it was very cold and windy so we didn’t spend much time touring. Dress warm in cooler weather!

The HAL excursion we wanted was sold out, so we booked an excursion through Tours by Locals to visit Baddeck and the A.G.Bell museum. We were very pleased with that tour.

Another great stop. Took a boat out to Bird Island, but you could easily have spent all day around the port. Saw more bald eagles than I could count on Bird Island, along with puffins, seagulls, and others.

we were supposed to take a horse & wagon tour but the horses acted up so bad we canceled. We did get our money back.

There wasn't much to do without booking a tour or renting a car. Anything worth seeing here is about a 45 minute drive away from port.
