Nothing memorable about this port either except the bagpipes playing when we got into port.

My husband and I opted to walk St. John. Most other passengers seemed to take a boat tour or the pink tour buses. We started by walking about 2 miles to the Reversing Falls. It was a bit of a walk, some of it uphill wear comfy shoes and have a water bottle as there are no fountains along the way. We also walked around the town, a lot of hills again. We checked out shops and the city market. I think this port is good if you like to wander a city and meet the locals. We ate lunch Rosas Mexicali (?) on King Street, food was great! Also, had drinks at Grannins outside seating off the boardwalk. Every local we met was friendly!

City bus tour for $17 was great value - a 2 - 3 hour tour with a driver who was fantastic!

Not much to see here. Cute little town. We visited the New Brunswick Museum in a Mall, city market and toured a historical church. Friendly town. We did not get to see the reversing tides but I hear they are not to be missed. Timing is everything.

Take a tour that visits Old St. John's & Cape Spear. Tour lasted 31/2 hrs. The panoramic drive was wonderful. Signal Hill is a scenic stop but we prepared for windy conditions. Cape Spear has a lot of up & down walking. Explore Cape Spear Lighthouse - worth a look see.

If you have time in port, visit the picturesque fishing village of Petty Harbour. I wished that we had more time to spend here to soak up the charming atmosphere, watch all the birds soaring up the surrounding hills. We did have time to walk the village & take photos. No time to visit the church.
