We didn't do any excursions, because they were so expensive, but we did walk around on our own. There wasn't anything to see within walking distance though.

Husband and daughter took the Best of St John excursion. Went out and about until the bus broke down- they ended up missing shopping in St John's and the museum. They liked the village they went out too but all in all could have skipped the trip- especially being stuck roadside for an hour or more. I did the shorter trolley tour. Hard to see out the trolley windows if anything was not on your side of the trolley. The trip to the reversing falls was a let down- we had pictured lovely countryside and we stopped in a parking lot to look across the river and see turbulent water and a paper-mill. Heard the Bay of Fundy was more interesting- I could have skipped my excursion and just walked about town a bit. Was glad we did not do the Falls Boat excursion that sounded great but was just a boat doing spin arounds in the water from the same parkinglot we viewed the reversing falls from.

I saw nothing of interest at this port - and 66 degrees in July was not comforting - oh well!

Very difficult to get wifi. Free wifi is advertised everywhere but getting it is very difficult due to amount of people on it. We ended up at Westin's hotel and paid for a drink to get the free wifi.

You must eat at Steamer's Lobster Company right across the street from the boat. The souvenirs in the tents outside of the boat are dirt cheap!

The quaint village feel and the Mall close to the port. Watching the reverse river falls.
