The harbor was picturesque, but the downtown area was a little past its prime and did not offer the quaint shops that were envisioned for this stop.

Had a lobster roll at The Brass Compass cafe. It was very good, service great and got a piling up of lobster on the roll. We had a lobster roll in Kennebunkport for a little more money and half the lobster meat so we were happy.

In Camden we went to an art museum and saw wonderful art by Jamie Wyeth. I used to live in Pa near where he painted there so it was great seeing the other side of his work.

The small towns are nice, but unless you booked an excursion, there is not much to offer. Knowing this now, I would have caught an Uber to the State park and went hiking. Thankfully, I had booked an excursion to Camden. However that was disappointed as it was mainly shops for 3 hours. The people of Camden were very lovely. Obviously had time to visit the coffee shop, Uncle Willy's Candy store, Federal Jacks..... Still confusion if I could bring other "food goods" like maple syrup (sealed), candy, chocolates (sealed) back onto the ship. Talk about that in the announcements instead of the fine print.

The port was very nice. I did a tour of Camden and the local winery which was harvesting grapes when we arrived. The tour provided each guest with five wines to taste.
