We walked to two beaches- St. Catherines and Tobacco Bay. St. Catherines was larger and nicer but a little further walk. The bus location was close by and the locals were very helpful. We took the bus to Hamilton then transferred to another bus to get to Horseshoe Bay. It was well worth the 60 minute ride. The next day we took the bus to Clearwater Beach/Turtle Bay. These were two great beaches also and only a 20 minute bus ride.

St. George's is the ghetto of Bermuda and not worth visiting for long. Tobacco bay/beach is a nice spot, though.

We walked across the island to Ft. St. Catherine, passing Ft. William along the way. Ft. St. Catherine has all the usual tourist stuff, and a 20 minute video which gives a good history of Bermuda's forts. We took a taxi back and went to St. Peter's church, which was quite interesting. A very old graveyard surrounds the church.

I ate at the Carriage House and Tavern by the Sea. Both were very good. Check out the Bermuda Glass and Perfumery Shop for unique gifts.

Due to inclement weather, we actually docked in Hamilton, which was a shame because St. George's is so nice. Hamilton was fine - there were plenty of shops and restaurants and sights. Again, because of the weather, the Tuesday night street festival I was looking forward to was cancelled. St. George's is so quaint and beautiful, though. We visited and loved exploring around the historic town. Bermuda itself is fantastic. The island is pretty everywhere, people are friendly, and the beaches are wonderful

Have been here before and it is a beutiful place. The shops close at 5 though which makes it hard to enjoy the town and spend money in their shops. Although the beaches had ALOT of seaweed and glass when we went they still are gorgeous
