Review summary

Unfortunately we sailed on the second to last cruise for this ship. It seemed as though many of crew (there was a few exceptions) were already thinking of their next destination and were generally impolite and did not seem to care for the passengers on the ship. Very seldom was there a greeting from any crew members. The "Freestyle" dining is very very deceiving. The restaurants only have food from noon till 2:00 for lunch and then 5:30-10:30 for dinner. Outside of these times you were generally out of luck and could either eat food that was in the "sports bar" which was a low grade buffet or sometimes at the Pizzeria which sometimes had food such as pizza or burgers. So from 2-5:30 you really did not have options to eat. We went to 4 seasons (the main dining room) twice. Once we waited to an hour and 40 minutes to get our SALADS and the crew seemed suprised that we complained. Another time at the same restaurant we had a bug in the carrot in our salad. Although the crew appologized they said the chef would contact us later but we never heard from anyone again. We decided to stay away after that. Terraces was much better and had a very friendly crew. Disembarkation was a zoo. The crew was obviously not in control of the situation and even though they stated many times in letters and the talks that you would be called by deck we had 100's of people lining up an hour and a half early from all floors to disembark and the crew did not seem to care and told us there is no way to control it even though it obviously is something they could easily control but chose not to bother and let it be basically a free for all. I can't say I blame other passengers as even though our deck was slated to disembark first I could NOT WAIT to get off the ship. As we stood in line waiting we talked to many people and most if not all were very disatisfied with the ship and crew. Too bad we (and soo many people) spend their hard earned money on a vacation and end up with this. At least there is a choice in cruise lines. We definitely will let everyone know of our experience with Norwegian and ensure they do not make the same bad choice many of us did.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Bad food and service in MOST areas. We had the breakfast delivered to us every morning and on all but one of the days they had "substitutions" for the stuff we ordered. We place the order the night before so there is no excuse for not having enough to cover the in advance orders. Terraces was very good and crew was very friendly

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Other cruises there is air of fun on them. This cruise did not have this type of feeling to it and it seemed as though the most happy I saw most people was after disembarkation.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
Had good range of activities for kids

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Just overall unfriendliness and lack of caring for what they were doing. Our room stewards (Edwin and Edwin) WERE FANTASTIC. Terraces crew were very good as well.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Ship was obviously worn and most things looked as though they were put off since the ship was sold and only had cruise after us left.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Good size room. had the things you would expect. Only negative thing is the small tv and the 4 stations it received.

Ports of call

St. George's, Bermuda

Have been here before and it is a beutiful place. The shops close at 5 though which makes it hard to enjoy the town and spend money in their shops. Although the beaches had ALOT of seaweed and glass when we went they still are gorgeous
Don't Miss: Snorkeling between tobacco bay and St Catherines beach

Pros: Hard to determine, room stewards WERE GREAT

Cons: impolite crew, Long waits for food, cafeteria grade food, poor overall treatment by crew

Recommends Norwegian Dream? No.
