We love Bermuda and visit almost every year. We love everything about it, and can recommend Heidi's Byways Tours, renting a Boston Whaler from Somerset Watersports, taking a glass fusing class at Studio 8 Glass in Dockyard and hopping the NCL ferry to St. Georges to explore (do not miss the spooky "Unfinished Church"). Go to Horseshow Bay Beach, and the easiest and most comfortable way to get there is taking an air conditioned mini-bus right next to the ship for $7 each way. I absolutely do not recommend renting a scooter even if you are an experienced rider. They are deadly. Bermuda is magical and unforgettable. You will want to go back again.

I have been here many times and it never gets old. Our favorite thing we did this time around was rent a Boston Whaler from Somerset Watersports with friends from our roll call and cruised all around the place. They gave us a cooler with ice, a loaf of bread to feed the fish and a map. We cruised out to a shipwreck and threw bread in the water and a million fish started jumping around like piranha, we checked out a few secluded beaches and snorkeled, saw some sea turtles up close, cruised around a mysterious deserted village, pulled up at the dock at Woody’s Restaurant for some cool brews and their famous Bermuda Wahoo Sandwich on raisin bread (unbelievable, trust me), checked out the America’s Cup preparations and sailed under the world’s smallest drawbridge. One day we went to Horseshoe Bay Beach with its famous pink sand via an air-conditioned mini van that takes you from right in front of the ship right to the beach, $7 US each way. I like Dockyard, and usually take a glass fusing class with Heidi and Matt at Studio 8 Glassworks and take home some handmade souvenirs I created myself. The free ferry to St. Georges is awesome, but we did not go this time around.

This was the 6th time we've cruised to Bermuda. We know our way around the area and enjoyed the local shopping.

Bermuda was a late substitution port due to hurricane damage at the originally scheduled ports. We strolled around the port on the first day. The second morning we got off early and took a city bus to Horseshoe Bay Beach. We arrived about 8:30 am and had the beach practically to ourselves for about an hour. It was a wonderful experience.
