Review summary

Honestly this cruise was not enjoyed by my family. It may have just been the ship, but we had a different picture of what it would be like and it was far from it. I had cruised on the Royal Caribbean years ago and had a much better experience.. I may have compared apples to oranges, but unfortunately this experience would make me not choose this line in the future.

Embarkation

Was very organized and received our luggage in a timely fashion, although a piece was missing from a friends luggage, which was later found.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Although very clean, the service was very unorganized. We consistently received food before drink orders. For the price we paid, I felt the food was ok. If you didn't already have reservations, it is impossible to make them during the stay. We had reservations for each night, with the exception of 1 and had limited options for that evening. The buffet was good, but lines are quite long and there is not midnight buffet, which we were looking forward to. Desserts were not the best and very "cafeteria like". Only one place to eat after 11 at O'Sheehans, which was ok and basic. Had a little buffet there of hamburgers, hot dogs, etc.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
There was only 1 extremely small pool and one small kids pool. This was ridiculous for a ship carrying 4000 people. Could not get a lounge chair all week, not once!! Not very happy with that set up. Clubs were good. Bliss was good, a little small and H2O was outside and roomy. Ice bar is a rip off. Costs $97.00 for 4 of us in a 10x10 room. Should be included. Fitness center was good. Very clean.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Shows were very good, Rock of Ages and Cirque Dreams Dinner Jungle Fantasy. Burn the Floor was ok. We were disappointed that there was no drink service at the shows except Cirque Dreams because it was a dinner.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The waitstaff was ok. As I stated we received food before drinks most times and also had meals never come and service was very slow. Took forever to receive drink orders some places. Also, the women staff didn't seem receptive to any concerns we had and nothing was followed up on. We were blown off at times. Also very hard to make arrangements for large parties at dinner time.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ships layout is horrible. Not enough pools or chairs to accommodate all the passengers and it is not very open. Feels very closed in. Common areas were quite clean and well-maintained

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin I felt was sufficient for a ship. Quite roomier than I expected. It was also cleaned very well each day.

Ship tip

Honestly I wouldn't recommend this ship at all. I am unfamiliar with the other ships, but if they do not have more than one pool, I would recommend another cruise line.
