Review summary

Good cruise. Okay ship. It is a huge ship with a lot of people and crew so there aren't really too many quiet spots. Make sure you like people! We recommend having a balcony to relax and enjoy the complimentary continental breakfast room service every morning. It is great!

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Long line to embark and it takes awhile to get to an agent to get you checked in.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was good. The drinks were nice.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The day activities were just ok. The pool areas are way too small for the amount of people on the ship. The miniature golf course was fun.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The night entertainment was great. They have great shows. Make sure you make reservations though.

Children's Programs

We didn't travel with children.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The staff was great, but not as friendly as we have had on other cruises.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The design was ok. I am sensitive to cigarette smoking and there were a lot of areas where it was common to see and smell. Also, they have one restaurant in a smoking area, the casino, which is annoying.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was great. We had an excellent steward. The balcony was wonderful.

Ship tip

Bring your own beach towel to snag a lounge chair in the shade. You will have to wake up at 7am to claim a chair as there aren't enough for all the people. Also, be prepared for party central at the pools and don't anticipate to be able to swim. It was literally standing room only in the pools.

Ports of call

New York, New York

5 out of 5
We live in Manhattan so we are biased.

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

5 out of 5
Great port. Make sure to take time to do the Maritime Museum.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
No one really followed the color codes and if you want it to be fast make sure you are one of the first colors in the morning. Otherwise you are looking at over an hour of standing in lines.

Oh dear, saving a lounge chair is a big "No. No."
