We booked an Excursion with Mark Roberts at Under The Sea. I contacted Mark several weeks before the cruise and arranged for 8 of us to snorkel at the Blue Hole and go swim with turtles. He also stopped at a shipwreck. The reef was beautiful. The water was calm We were the only people there snorkeling. Mark can take up to 12. It was nice having a small group instead of the excursion with large groups. The price was about the same as snorkeling with the large groups. Mark's wife was able to go with us. Both Mark and his wife are very nice and will tell you a lot about the area. I highly recommend Mark Roberts and Under the Sea if you would like a small group snorkeling excursion going 5 miles off shore to snorkel in the Blue Hole. He is also available for private tours. Mark's boat was very nice and their is plenty of shade. It was about a 10 to 15 minute taxi ride from King's Wharf to get to the marina where his boat will pick you up. Taxi did not cost much.

Horseshoe Beach was the best. Elbow beach was not bad. Hamilton seemed to be a shoppers paradise, but we are not shoppers, so besides lunch at Flanagan's sports bar, (very good BTW), we left it soon. At St George's, most folks went to Tobacco Bay, but we found this crowded with families, so we continued on the 3.5 mile walk around the area, and found a small beach area that no one else was visiting. It was very nice.

There is a great sushi restaurant near the pier and interesting historical sites within walking distance.

At first it was hard to figure out how to get around the island because it's so big. You either have to by a bus pass or rent scooters (be careful because you have to drive them on the opposite side of the road). The best beaches are about a 40 minute bus ride away, but were beautiful! Horseshoe Bay Beach and Elbow Beach were the ones recommended to us, and they were both awesome. Snorkel Beach near the port is also a good one if you want to snorkel. You can also visit the city of Hamilton, but beware that the shops are upscale expensive. There a few cute restaurants there if you want to eat out. We did one shore excursion - helmet diving, and it was amazing! Be sure to look into this if you go!

Everyone needs to go to Horshoe Bay Beach, however, we thoroughly enjoyed Snorkle Park at the Dockyards. It was a great place to relax, drink and spend time in the water. This was a great site for children and older citizens, as the water was very calm. Of course, we love going up to St. Georges for shopping. Hamilton is a fine place, but very expensive.

Bermuda was very beautiful, unfortunately the itinerary we had did not allow a lot of time to see or do what we would have liked. We should have paid more attention when we booked this cruise that we would be docked from 2 pm until 3 pm the next afternoon and on a Sunday when most everything is closed.

It was definitely beautiful. The only thing was that when we were visiting there was some sort of a cricket holiday so many things were closed the second day. Regardless, the beaches were still gorgeous.
