Ship docks across from Front Street, so access to town is great.

See Horseshoe Bay Beach - to die for. Take time to see the parade but do not buy anything, it is very expensive.

Very busy, clean, and beautiful, but quite at night. Store close around 5'ish, but the bars are open later. Very expensive to eat and drink on land. The drinks on the ship were actually cheaper. A must do is get a multi-day bus pass and take the #7 bus along the South shore. Get off at Waricks Long Bay and enjoy the beaches and coves as you walk to Horse shoe bay. Horse Shoe can get crowded which takes away its beauty. We feel Long Bay was definitly better. We picked the #7 bus up again and rode to the Navy Dock Yard, did a little shopping, not a must see if time is short, but you will want to take the 20 minute ferry ride(included w/ bus pass) to go back to Hamilton rather then the one hour bus ride.

Didn't seem like enough time to do some shopping, visit the beaches and the tourist attractions. Crystal Caves was very cool and my husband and kids enjoyed Horseshoe Beach, but we couldn't do both.

It is really easy to get around in Bermuda. You can buy a two day pass and have unlimited use of the bus and ferry system. You can get all over this way and have a boat ride at the same time. The Dockyard is really interesting with a museum, restaurant, craft shopping and lovely flora and fauna. If you are a shopper you can knock yourself out in Hamilton. On Wednesay evening they hold a street fair featuring Bermuda Arts and hand crafts. Many lovely reasonably priced originals and prints and some beautiful hand crafted jewelry. Additionally there is street entertainment which is quite entertaining.

st. thomas was my favorite before i saw bermuda. it is beyond beautiful! take the aquarium/crystal caves tour a REAL a/c bus takes you on a tour of part of the island talks you thru really interesting info about everything from how the houses are built to how the island was formed, then to the little aquarium/zoo and then the crystal caves (hysterical guide!). the beaches are AMAZING! friendly people. if you need some normal non-cruise food try flanagan's.

We went to Horsehoe Bay for a day at the beach. The beach was beautiful, and the water was torquoise,so clear and beautiful. The amenities were a bit lacking - porta potties, cheap umbrellas and chairs. We went to Elbow Beach the next day. Approx 100 yards from the private Elbow Beach was a site to rent comfortable chairs and umbrellas. We ate a FABULOUS lunch at Mickey's restaurant (right on the beach), a HUGE chicken and mango salad that was to die for. We took very comfortable (and reasonably priced) taxis to these two beaches. Hamilton held a street fair on Wednesday night, but that was the night we dined at Portifino, so we only caught the last 30 minutes or so. People said it was very much fun, and great for the kids. We did very little shopping, because we chose to spend so much time at the beaches.
