HOMELESS people all over downtown Vancouver and so many people smoking cigarettes. I don't need to go back there ever again. Don't stay in Downtown. Granville has less homeless people.

if you are flying from the states to Vancouver to catch the cruise to Alaska, you have to go through customs twice (entering Canada then again before boarding the ship to enter the US). Customs has long slow lines. Be prepared to wait in both lines.

Beautiful city but beware of seedy areas near Chinatown, which is very nice. Had delicious lunch at Chill Winston (don't walk any further tho as area gets bad).
