The weather was beautiful and the White Pass train was exactly like the pictures! Gorgeous scenery and very informative. I would love to visit again!

Don't miss the train and the dog sled demonstration just outside of town. It rained again all day. Learn about the Iditarod which is kind of interesting. The dogs are really fun to watch. Read up on the history of the Klondike Gold Rush before you go. Fascinating what insane things people would do for gold. You are standing in one of the most historic parts of Alaska. You'll be glad you saw it.

smaller port that Juneau. They also have a library with free WiFi. Short walk to the downtown area from dock, you can stop and see the salmon spawning on your way in and out. Skagway Brewing Co is a nice local bar for food and drinks. Shop North to Alaska for items sold by locals and made in Alaska. For those missing your Starbucks, they have one inside Miners Gems (or one of the jewelry stores on 2nd).

Skagway was one of the ports we visited last June. We had such a good time there. Skagway is really unique and it’s like taking a step back in time. We went on the Whitepass railroad and got lots of great photos and videos. We got really lucky with the weather that day, was beautiful. Would love to return here one day.
