I listened to the advise from thousand who cruised before me and went on the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad excursion AND I'm so happy that I did! Breathtaking views! Tip: The earlier you get in line means you'll get a chance to pick where you sit. Once you choose your train car that is it for the duration of the trip. No walking in between cars will be allowed but you will be able to stand outside in front and back of each car. We chose the very last train car and so glad we did! We had views of the front of the whole train when going around the curves of mountains which made for a great photo.

Do not miss taking the White Pass train. The bus tour is also good, but the train cannot be beat!

We booked the all day Yukon/White Pass Train ride. Again - I can't say enough about the folks we came in contact with. Being history buffs - taking the same route the rushers took all those years ago really makes you wonder how they did it. And the scenery...WOW. There are no words to describe it. We got on a motor coach in Fraser, BC then rode up into the Yukon. The driver provided a lot of history on the rushers and what they had to go through. We had a little extra time so we were able to go to Emerald Lake which is absolutely breathtaking!

This was also fantastic. We went on the Ghosts & Goodtime Girls Walking Tour. This was so fantastic and the guide we had was so informative and gave us insights into the type of life a women would have experienced. She should get some type of recognition for how outstanding she was. Would highly recommend this to all who go to Skagway.

Took a bus from Skagway to Carcross and took the White Pass train back to Skagway on September 2019. Made a video from the train. https://youtu.be/soueKNw3oxg

This is a small village but I could probably stay there for a few days just to see all there is around it. The train ride up to the White Pass is a MUST!!!...and I mean a MUST!! You can take it to the top and then take a motor coach back down to town or take the train both ways. But the beauty of the mountains and snow-caps and the views from the train is just breathtaking. If you have taken this before then take another tour but if you have never taken this tour you will be misssing a ride of a lifetime if you miss it.

United Excursion: we took two buses to where we needed to check in for the helicopter ride to a glacier. The bus drivers were very helpful, cordial & the fare was inexpensive for the round trip. We were able to sit in the front seat of the helicopter & the ride was fantastic. We were surprised to see the dirt & rocks on the glacier but that is normal. We had to be careful walking due to the melting & holes in the glacier. Where there was deep crevices, the beauty of the glacier shown through. I just hope future generations can see these glaciers as they are melting & receding.

My favorite stop! Like stepping back in time. Would love to have just stayed. The Red Onion Saloon is such a part of history. So much history in the whole town. Loved it!
