White Pass Railroad was not as fantastic as price indicates it would be. If you are doing the land/sea cruise and are in the trains to/from Denali, skip the white pass.

We didn't spend any time in Seward, took the train directly from the ship to Anchorage. The train ride was all we anticipated. Mackie and I saw so many beautiful sights and visited with another couple from Texas. Anchorage is a beautiful city with all the flowers. We were treated very well at the convention center where our luggage was kept until we were ready to board the plane.

We did not spend any time in Seward. Got on a bus and headed north. Anchorage, was a bust. By now, all our T-shirt and souvenir time and money were out. We were dropped in an area that had little to see but just a bunch of cruise ship sponsored gift shops. The best thing there were the street side Reindeer Hot Dogs.

Nothing to do except to get on transportation to Anchorage. Booked our own bus to a hotel we booked ourselves in Anchorage. Way less expensive.

Unless you make a prior reservation with a bus service, good luck. We felt strong-armed by a Taxi company and ended up paying $750.00 for 2 taxis to Anchorage. Driver was quick to tell us he was the only option and if we didn't decide right away, he would take someone else and we would be stranded. No rental cars available. Not much help in Seward with problem. I feel this needs to be made clear to passengers once cruise is booked. Last cruise on a different cruise line was much better handled.

Flight to Anchorage via Delta was very good. Excellent and professional crew. The Westmark Hotel in Anchorage was very poor. No complimentary coffee in lobby. Woman at frront desk was very unprofessional as she was preparing us to board a bus to take train to Denali prior to cruise.

We didn't have time to enjoy Seward. Have been here before and I wanted to spend time there again. Had to rush off due to bus schedule. Would have liked to spend the night and catch but next day. Couldn't arrange it.
