Loved our tour with ACT from Anchorage to Seward. We stopped at wildlife park, got bag lunch and stopped at Exit glacier. The best part though was the guide was a local and we learned so much about Alaska in general and what it is like to actually live there.

Embarkation port. We stayed in Anchorage and took the Alaska Railroad down to Seward.

we booked a ride on the Alaskan Railway that went to Grandview and back...but again, on our ow, not through HAL. Scenery was beautiful but it was almost too long of a ride

We had a short time in Seward after our land tour before boarding the ship.

Not the worst port....but it's fine and if you stay in Seward the night prior to cruising you can board ahead of those taking the train or bus from Anchorage....a plus!!

Spend some time in Anchorage, because Seward is nothing but a cruise terminal. Also, take the ACT bus rather than a taxi or renting a car.

Not much there, but I appreciated the free town shuttle. Everything in the town was close enough to walk to, but it was raining that day.
