Did the Bering Sea Crab Fisherman’s Tour and it was wonderful! Showed us four types of fishing techniques, brought up crab and prawns. Very interactive, letting guests interact with the equipment and catches/crabs when they weren’t operating equipment. Highlight was a feeding of bald eagles. Upward of 20 of them circling/diving around the boat.

Hubby and I did the rainforest trail and canoe excursion. It was not worth the money. I strongly recommend just going off the ship and asking one of the locals for a good hiking trail nearby or looking it up beforehand. My husband is a huge foodie and so we stopped at Burger Queen (delicious burgers), Alava’s (a tiny hole in the wall fish and chips place with the best fish and chips and chowder soup that We’ve ever tasted). He wanted to stop at Up Creek Salmon but unfortunately they kicked the guy off the island due to not having a license to serve food we were told..... and then we stopped at Rainforest Cannibas.... if you’re into that sort of thing . Also a side note... we used Uber on the island. There’s only 2 or 3 of them so try to give yourself enough time but it isn’t the best way to go if you don’t have the time.

We booked floatplane with Island Wings to Misty Fiord. It was absolutely amazing! Michelle our pilot and owner was so knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Cute, quaint town! Easy to walk, hike, or trolley tour around town. Deadliest Catch Bering Sea Crab tour was outstanding! All fishermen of the Bering Sea, stories of sea abounded! Huge crabs, prawns, octopus, and an amazing display of eagles soaring around their nests! Explained processes and the necessity of keeping the waters pure! Highly recommend!

This was the jewel of the stops. By far what I thought an Alaskan town would look like.

We did the Duck tour with Capt Joan and "Pepper". It was amazing and fun. Great time had by all. They reviewed safety with us for this unique vehicle and kept us entertained and informed. Would definitely recommend this tour! So many bald eagles, totems, and historical content.

Yes we did excursions but not through the cruiseline. Viator was our way to get around. I hated all the jewelry stores it was ridiculous how many there were and we avoided them at all cost.

The five stars is for the crab feast at George Inlet Lodge. This is our second time there and will have lunch there again on our way back. The crabs are so fresh! A must have.
