Not long enough in the port. Beautiful place. Eat in a local restaurant.

Norwegian just doesn't have the stops on this cruise set up right. To be a BIG ship it, they need more time in these ports and where not everyone gets off or back on at the same time.

Again beautiful weather. We took a trolley tour of Ketchikan and went to the Tongass river to view Salmon Spawning and were able to see a black bear.

Would have loved, loved, loved to have stayed here longer. Beautiful little town. Didn’t have long here. Watched the lumberjack show. Really funny.

Loved the Lumber Jack Show. It was nice to see one of the lumberjacks was actually on our cruise ship. The lumberjacks were funny, friendly, and high energy.

We did ziplining, but seeing the port was very cool and learning about it was nice when we took the bus to the zipline place!

I wish we had stayed here even longer! Even with the construction going on, it was a neat town! We first had an excursion where we rode Tomcats through a mountain trail (muddy and fun!), then walked around in Ketchikan. Creek Street area is the BEST, and we chose to eat lunch there. Also shopped there. Fabulous town!

Didn't enjoy it quite as much as other ports, but still very interesting and beautiful. We opted to explore on our own. There are good maps with walking historical tours. We walked out the Totem Heritage Center and also visited Creek Street. It was fun!

Ketchikan is my favourite port in Alaska. This is a town of arts and artists. Be sure to visit Crazy Wolf shop for Native American jewelry, bentwood boxes, masks, and other artifacts. For beautiful silk-screened and embossed prints, stop in at Alaska Eagle Arts. There is a wonderful independent book store here with many books on Alaskan history, wildlife, geology, geography, and photography. The staff are helpful. For lunch I always stop at New York Cafe. I am particularly fond of their salmon burger.
