Do the “Deadliest Catch” excursion if you can. Well worth the time and money.

Fibre art enthusiasts dream. The hive on creek is an amazing shop full of local yarn. Hand dyed and spun. And the ever amazing Quivit yarn porn and bring your $$$$$ worth it.

Two words: TOURIST TRAP. The entire downtown is jewelry stores and gift ships that sell the same shitty tee shirts. The lumberjack show is Just a Disney World attraction that got lost in Alaska. Totem poles were cool.

It rained the first part of the day, but then it rains a lot there so bring a rain gear. Saw the Great Alaskan Lumberjack show. Great show, and not that expensive. It is outdoors, but bleachers are under cover and heated. Very comfortable, and the show does happen rain or shine. Great little seafood restaurant right next door to the lumberjack show. On a previous visit we road the Ducks. Good city tour. A little short on the water portion, but great commentary of the city and great hosts.

We've been here before so we just wandered about town. On a previous cruise we did the Bearing Sea Crab boat and I would definitely recommend it.

Had the best day, took a floatplane tour with Island Wings to Anan Bear Observstory,it was like I was in my own National Geographic Movie, bears catching salmos out of the waterfall streams ,bald eagles in the middle of Tongass National Forest. If your budget allows this is worth every penny 💰

We went on the Adventure Kart Expedition. This was a blast. It was rainy but they provided slickers. Good thing it was our last excursion because we got very muddy. Got in a little shopping and a delicious lunch before heading back to ship.
