Review summary

Alaska Cruise is a definite must do. Scenery is stunning. A highlight is the zip line in Icy Straight Point. The Red Dog Saloon is fun. I had sprained my ankle at the beginning of the trip so couldn't do the hike to Mendenhall Glacier but friends said it was excellent. Alaska Cruise should be on everyone's bucket list.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was quick and organized although a lot of walking was involved. It's a maze inside Canada Place.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The first evening we went to Tuscan. It was amazing. So much food and quality. Definitely worth it. Couldn't do it every night though......the scales would tip. Dining room meals were very good. Sparse on veggies so ask for extra. The buffet was good as well. There were lots of choices.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We didn't do too many ship activities but the silent disco was so much fun.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We didn't get to every show in the theatre but the production shows were a bit lacking. I understand it is difficult to do some dance moves on a moving ship but the dancing was very basic. Singers were good. Comedian was very funny

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All crew were great as usual

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was in excellent condition and tastefully decorated

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The layout of the cabin is great. There was lots of room to move around and lots of storage space. Only small complaint was that it was a bit noisy. It sounded like something was hitting against the outside wall constantly.

Ship tip

The Celebrity Millennium is a nice ship and size is perfect. Staff is great and all needs are met. Choose room carefully if noise is a factor.

Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

Stanley Park and Granville Market are definite must dos. The weather prevented us from a trip up to Whistler and Grouse Mountain.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

4 out of 5
We did the zipline here. It was so much fun. A must do.

Juneau, Alaska

The salmon bake was really good. After that, a visit to the Red Dog Saloon completed our day.

Ketchikan, Alaska

4 out of 5
We've been here before so we just wandered about town. On a previous cruise we did the Bearing Sea Crab boat and I would definitely recommend it.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation was fast and easy.

Hi, just wondering what the seas are like in this part of the world. Does the ship rock much. I do sometimes get seasick in big rough seas, which is not uncommon around Australia.

I agree. When we went a couple of years ago it the best cruise ever! The scenery was stunning and the weather couldn't have been better (we wore coats once). And it didn't rain until our last day.
